Effective 9 August 2026
Booking, Deposit and Cancellation Terms
These terms explain the £35 booking deposit and what happens when an appointment is changed, cancelled or missed.
Booking an appointment
Appointments are provided by Dr Rob Greig at Castle Quay Medical Practice, Rue de L’Etau, St Helier, Jersey. The SimplyBook.me booking system shows the service, duration, price, availability and information required before confirmation. Booking a consultation does not guarantee that any requested treatment or prescription will be clinically appropriate.
The £35 deposit
- A £35 deposit is required online to secure each paid appointment. The free post-treatment review does not require a deposit.
- The deposit is deducted in full from the appointment price when you attend.
- Payment is processed through SBPay.me/SumUp using the available card or digital-wallet options. Dr Greig’s WordPress website does not store full card details.
- The deposit protects limited clinical time. Missed appointments have become increasingly common across Jersey and the same difficulty is experienced by many GP, dental and private clinics.
Rescheduling or cancelling
You may cancel or reschedule through the link in your booking confirmation or the SimplyBook.me “My Bookings” area. The current online cut-off is 48 hours before the appointment.
- If you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before the appointment, the deposit can be transferred or refunded as appropriate through the booking/payment system.
- If you cancel within 48 hours, arrive too late for the appointment to be completed safely, or do not attend, the deposit may be retained to reflect the reserved clinical time.
- If exceptional circumstances prevented attendance, contact Dr Greig through the contact page. Any discretion is considered individually and fairly.
If Dr Greig changes the appointment
If Dr Greig has to cancel or materially change an appointment, you will be offered a suitable alternative or a refund of the deposit. This does not affect any other rights you may have.
Remote bookings and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms removes rights that apply under the Distance Selling (Jersey) Law 2007, the Supply of Goods and Services (Jersey) Law 2009 or other applicable Jersey law. Where a statutory cancellation or refund right applies, it will be honoured. Services will be delivered with reasonable care and skill.
Clinical safety
A consultation may result in treatment being postponed, declined or changed where Dr Greig considers this necessary for safety or appropriate medical practice. In that situation, any charge will reflect the consultation and professional assessment actually provided; it is not a fee for a guaranteed prescription or procedure.
Contact and complaints
Questions about a booking, payment or deposit can be raised through the contact page. Payment refunds can take several working days to appear depending on the card issuer or payment provider.
The SimplyBook.me cancellation setting and payment configuration were checked on 9 August 2026. These terms should be reviewed if that setting, the deposit amount or the payment provider changes.
